Trash cans come in a variety of designs and materials and you can find metal trash cans, plastic trash cans, wooden trash cans, and a whole lot more. But trash cans made of metal still remain the first choice of many people

Metal trash cans are more durable than their counterparts because metal is hard-wearing and long-lasting by nature. It is strong and resilient to different kinds of stresses. Metals remain solid at ordinary temperatures, and remain attractive throughout their useful life because they are lustrous when polished. They stand against surface deformation, scratches, and breakage.

Most metal trash cans are made of processed aluminums, which are lightweight, silvery metals that are more resistant to corrosion than others. The aluminum oxide covering on trash cans retard corrosive action. Aluminum is also very lightweight and in fact, it weighs three times less than steel.

Metal trash cans perfectly complement modern architectural designs. The sleek lines and polished finishes make it look not only more contemporary, but more sanitary as well. Metal trash cans come in different colors to complement any interior decor theme. There are also metal trash cans that can be built into existing structures (such as cabinets) to put trash out of view.

Metal trash cans are a little pricier than their plastic counterparts but they generally last longer are worth the money you pay for them. Expect to spend about $20 for a midsize metal trash can. Those made with more expensive, treated metals are more expensive. Extra features such as spring-powered lids, foot pedals (for opening the lid), or chemically-treated bins, all increase the price.

What are some good bands I'd like, based on my music taste?

I like bands less mainstream, not that I have anything against it, but anything under the radar is kind of a plus.

I like people like Chase Coy (dear juliet) and Jimmy Robbins.
I also like Dashboard Confessional and Jack johnson, along with Alanis Morsette.
I like classical composers like, yeah, Motzart.
I like symphonic metal, like Nightwish and Apocalyptca.
I don’t like death metal or trash metal.
Black metal isn’t too bad.
rap, I just can’t seem to relate to the rythem.
I Am Ghost is a band I like
I don’t like Mindless self indugence or anything like that.
I like classic rock
I like AltRock too
I like oldies like why do you build me up buttercup
Nirvana through to the Beatles
The Cure is just amazing and other goth bands are cool

so yeah I have a wide and strange taste in music.

anything you think I’d like recomend, or even just bands you like that you think I should check out, all recomendations are welcome.

What do you think about…?

Hi.I’m Italian.I’ve decided to post my question here(i mean american answers)as in Italy a great percentage of 13-16 girls are talking,every day and always for stupid reasons,about a German group: Tokio Hotel…
These girls have the courage to say that this group is rock(suuure…. -_-)
and sometimes they have also said that this group is better than The Doors,Led Zeppelin,Deep Purple,Pantera(yeah for those girl Pantera are rock and not trash metal :S)and other fabulous groups.
But it’s not ended…the main questions are for example: how tall is Bill?Is he gay?How can i contact him?Where does he live?Is he married?And so on…
I don’t know how is the situation on this answers but on the italian one there’s a great amount of this questions.
So my question is this: What do u think about this situation and especially about this group( if it can be defined like that…)?And what do you want to say to those girls?

How can i find members for a death metal band?

m trying to get together a death metal band, focusing on playing old school death metal like Obituary and Benediction, but no one in my area likes old school death metal, let alone metal. no, im not in a white trash area 9well, i am, but theres other people) im just surrounded by screamo posers who like to play "br00tuhl br3akd0wnz" and wear skinny jeans. and im only 16, so i cant just ask some 30 year old guy at a concert to join. anyone who actually does like the music doesnt play an instrument, or doesnt play well enough. and those that do have no time to practice. im from staten island (New York) so the metal scene here lacks a lot of enthusiasm.

is there any way i can look for a drummer/bassist/vocalist in my area easily?

Its almost my birthday and i get to choose between a new guitar amp or a new guitar?

Atm i’ve got 2 guitars: a Jack & Danny SG and a Jack & Danny 7 String Custom and i use a 15w Fender FrontmanSG. My parents told me i can choose between a Professional guitar for example a gibson or a Professional amp like a marshal or something. I’m more into metal so i probably won’t choose a gibson or a marshal but what should i get a guitar or an amp.
And If i should get a guitar, what brand should it be?
And If i should get an amp, how much watt and what brand should it be, should i get a rack&cab or a combo? And should it be a tube or solid state?
As i already said i’m into Heavy Metal (NWOBHM), Trash Metal, Progressive Metal (Tool) etc..Not into Black/Death Metal but i like the distortion death metal guitarists use.

What happens if a compost bin is too small?

We live in a very small apartment complex, but we really want to compost. Our landlord told us we could have a small, container compost bin with a padlocked lid, and gave us the maximum dimensions that our compost bin could be (which translates to a 10 gallon metal trash can). He doesn’t want anything unsightly, extremely noticeable or that anyone else can throw non-compostable material (like dog poop or meat scraps) in that will make it smell (and I wouldn’t put it past some of our neighbors doing that just to be a-holes). He wants it outside too, not in our apartment where it can possibly attract pests (I told him it probably wouldn’t he still said outside). And he doesn’t want a worm bin (we asked), because apparently (don’t know if it’s true or not), the red worms you use for composting are invasive species here, and he doesn’t want them escaping.

We have the 10 gallon trash can, and we’re just trying to figure out if it will even work. We can insulate it pretty well and we don’t have a whole lot of matter to put in (I could not imagine it getting more than 3/4 full, ever). If we do everything you would with a larger bin (punch lots of holes for air, stir it, place it on raised blocks ect..), will it just take longer to break down, or will it not even work at all? I can handle it taking a little longer to work, but I don’t want to have a biohazard in front of my apartment. And we’re pretty much stuck trying it in the 10 gallon, or not doing it at all. Help please?

R&P: Rate my top 5 albums of all time list?

This is only rock.

Honorable Mention: NOFX – White Trash, Two Heebs, and a Bean (1992)
I really just felt bad for not including a punk rock album. This is such an incredible album. It’s ALMOST as assorted (I couldn’t think of the word I wanted here. God can someone please help me? It’s killing me. It means like… diverse. Like people always use it for Jimmy Page because he can play lots of different styles of music. Omg help.) London Calling, but it’s better than it because it’s not nearly as much of a task to listen to. It’s hard to make an album that doesn’t get tedious after about 7 tracks, but NOFX pulled it off beautifully here. And it’s funny. I think funny always makes an album better. (As you’ll see in number 5.)

Honorable Mention: Confessor – Condemned (1991)
Not much to say about this one, especially since I’ll be surprised if even one person who reads this has heard of them. They’re pretty much technical Doom Metal. How original is that? People always claiming about how music stopped being original after the 80s. So wrong. This is the most original album I’ve ever heard.

5. Dethklok – The Dethalbum (2007)
Yes, I’m serious. This is one of the greatest albums of all time. They started out as a cartoon and became a real Death Metal Comedy band. The irony can’t get better. Not only that but it’s SO ACCESSIBLE. People that would never have otherwise listened to hardcore metal (including me) have started listening to it because this album made it interesting.

4. Modest Mouse – Good News for People Who Love Bad News (2004)
Arguably the album that made Indie everything but Indie. Indie rock is probably gonna be what glam metal and thrash metal were for the 80s. This generation’s identifying genre, and I believe that this is the album that started it.

3. Slayer – Seasons in the Abyss (1990)
You mad cuz I didn’t pick Reign in Blood? The only thing Reign in Blood has on this album is the year that it was released. If this album had come out in 1986, it would have beat out all the other albums by any of the Big Four for the best Trash Metal album. This is the greatest Thrash Metal album of all time. Period. Fuck Metallica. This is better.

2. Jefferson Airplane – Surrealistic Pillow (1967)
This is psychedelic rock at its best. It’s another one of those albums that doesn’t get tedious, and again, it’s very… assorted. (WHAT’S THAT WORD). The only psychedelic album that could possibly rival this is Cheap Thrills, but I prefer Grace to Janis and it’s my list so… :)

1. King Crimson – In the Court of the Crimson King
What can I say about this one? It did more work than any other early prog album in helping to create the genre. Michael Giles is an almost unparalleled drummer, and… God it’s so good.

This isn’t my favorite albums ever list. That’s why Steely Dan and the Police aren’t there. This is what I honestly believe are the greatest albums of all time.
Oh I forgot the year for King Crimson’s album… 1969. Johnny, I don’t think it’s their best album either. I just think it’s their most important :)

Can air passing through a fan an metal duct-work generate a static charge? If so, how can it be discharged?

I have a bad "trash" problem in my paint booth that I suspect can be attributed to static "cling" that is drawing debris into my paint jobs. All other pieces have been replaced or cleaned. IE filter systems, guns, objects painted, etc. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

What was the name of the movie about a man who made a suit of metal armor and a motorcycle and robbed banks?

In the movie I remember, the main character made a suit of armor from a scraps and a trash can, and a motorcycle from scraps too, to rob banks like a robin-hood to save the island he lived on from being sold. He gets shot alot like its nothing, and everyone makes fun of him because his armor looks ridiculous.

What brand of coffee is packed in a metal can?

I use them for baking round bread for pizzas & burgers, decorate for children & grandchildren for christmas cookies & candy or one time for the top tier of a wedding cake, and carmel corn canisters (3# size) and when through could flatten them to save trash room. Maybe there is another product with a plastic lid of comparable size?
